“Granite is like many natural things. No two pieces are exactly alike in terms of color, patterns and other distinguishing characteristics,” says Emerson Mendieta, Co-Owner of the Granite Shop of Madison. “Once a homeowner understands this, it changes how a project is approached. For example, to match granite from application to application in a particular room, the consumer must order granite from the same production lot. Otherwise, you can not be sure the granite you choose in the future will match, or even come close. There are too many variables.”
There are a few factors to consider when selecting granite as a building material. Each purchase is unique and requires attention to the following details:

?The qualities of the rock are the result of the temperature the molten rock reached and how quickly it
cooled and hardened.
? Color varies greatly. Even in general color schemes will vary from granite deposit to granite deposit. This is why, if you want consistent color, you should purchase the granite you need in one purchase.
