Furnaces and Air conditioning units all provide a better mix of air. This helps with efficiency and gives the homeowner more comfort and the air temperature has less variation. At first, given the forced air furnaces of the past, it feels as though the furnace isn't doing the job. However, testing has shown the comfort level is higher with the new systems that utilize this technology. The fan runs more, but the overall effect is efficiency and a more constant air temperature. The air conditioning systems run much the same way.
